The Meridian Community Band was founded in 1974. Among our many hallmarks, we count our celebration of the great American “Town Band” tradition. The MCB is beloved by its members, community, and audiences alike. Our band members strive for the best possible musical performance through individual commitment to their craft as instrumentalists. MCB performers are active life-long learners.

We are about much more than simply connecting with our community through music. Membership in the Meridian Community Band is an open invitation to enjoy music with our friends and neighbors as we explore band repertoire created by the great master composers, in addition to the performance and commissioning of today’s best and brightest composers.

The Meridian Community Band is located in Meridian Charter Township, Michigan, home to the communities of Okemos and Haslett. Our members come primarily from metropolitan Lansing with others commuting from the Flint, Detroit, Jackson, and Grand Rapids areas.
